Spam Alert
It seems that spammers have been using our domain (houts.net) in the return address of their spam. This came to our attention on Wednesday, August 31st, 2005, as we received over 500 bounce messages from various ISPs because of invalid or no longer in use email addresses, full mailboxes, refusals to accept detected spam, or other various reasons. Some of the bounces were out-of-office replies.
The originating IP addresses appear to be varied. We hope you realize that there is nothing we can do to stop the spammers from abusing our domain name, but in case anyone who has been spammed with a forged houts.net address wishes to complain, we want to ensure that you realize that this spam is not originating from anyone at our domain and is not coming from our server. The only IP addresses from which legitimate houts.net email is sent is the ranges of 74.0.154.2 - 74.0.154.254 and 64.183.97.194 - 64.183.97.206 (our addresses just changed on 04/01/2006 - they previously were 66.134.161.82 - 66.134.161.86). Anything else is fraudulent. Please check the message headers of the spam message and you will see that it did not come from our server.
